여러분 안녕하세요. 저는 일본의 와세다대학교 이공대학 교수로 재직하고 있는 시케키 고토입니다.

이번에 서울에서 자국어인터넷주소 세계대회가 열린다는 소식을 듣게 되어 무척 반갑고 기쁩니다. 저는 직접 참가할 수 는 없어 아쉽니만 이렇게나마 비디오로 메시지를 전해드리게 되어 그나마 다행입니다.

저는 와세다대학교에서 저의 학생들과 함께 NLIA 시스템의 성능과 기능을 검증해 보았습니다. 물론 넷피아 직원 여러분들도 함께 도와 주셨습니다.

실험 결과는 아주 만족할 만했습니다. 저희 학생들도 NLIA 서비스의 성능과 기능에 아주 만족해 하였음을 전해 드립니다. 아마도 이건 넷피아 개발진 여러분들에게는 대단히 기쁜 소식이 아닐까 싶습니다.

저희 일본도 당연히 한국에서와 같이 자국어의 중요성을 매우 잘 이해하고 있습니다. 인터넷에 자국어가 실현된다면 인터넷은 더욱 더 좋은 인터넷이 될 것입니다. 특히 정보격차 해소에는 더 할 나위 없이 좋은 수단이 될 것입니다.

이러한 이유로 인해 저는 NLIA 컨소시엄이 인터넷의 자국어화에 기여해 주실 것을 고대해 마지 않습니다. 경청해 주셔서 깊이 감사 드리고 여러분 모두 좋은 성과 있으시길 바랍니다.

I am happy to hear that the Global Conference for NLIA & Name is held in Seoul, Korea.

Because I cannot attend the conference physically, let me give a short message to you over the video.

I have evaluated the function and the performance of NLIA with the help from my students at Waseda University.

Engineers at Netpia have also helped us to conduct the testing.
The result of evaluation was superior. My students are satisfied with the function and the performance of NLIA.

It was good news for the Netpia engineers.
We are cerlainly aware of of the importance of Natural Language in Japan as well as in Korea.

The Internet has much power if we can utilize Natural Languages in the net. We have a strong and efficient tool to cope with Digitar Divide.

For thos reason, I am hoping the consortium will promote the usage of Natural Language is the Internet.
